Bakers Square Calls it Quits
When these chain restaurants decide to shut down, it seems like you hear stories more and more where they don't even tell the employees about it.
From www.leadertelegram.com: Bakers Square, 4750 Golf Road, apparently has closed, an employee said. Earlier this year, the parent company of the Village Inn and Bakers Square restaurant chains filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and announced plans to close dozens of restaurants. Officials from Vicorp couldn't be reached for comment. In an e-mail, Bakers Square employee Sarah Kniprath said she was driving by the restaurant Wednesday and noticed the main sign was gone, and, upon further investigation, she found everything else inside the business was gone too. "No one from headquarters or locally has bothered to let me know that they closed," said Kniprath of Eau Claire.
