Things The Chippewa Valley Is Good At

1st Place: Music Festivals
2nd Place: Farmers Markets
3rd Place: Drinking

The Chippewa Valley has a robust and growing music scene, and is now the home of two major new music festivals: Blue Ox and Eaux Claires. Along with Country Fest, Country Jam, and Rock Fest, these festivals bring in thousands and thousands of people every year, providing high-caliber entertainment and a significant booster to the local economy. In addition, we have wonderful farmers markets all over the Valley, including those in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Menomonie. Now, a brand-new market — the Centennial Campus Market — is bringing farm-grown produce to the UW-Eau Claire campus. And finally, whether you like a quiet, laid-back atmosphere or something more lively, you can always find the right place to sit down and have a drink. It’s Wisconsin, after all. —Mike Seitz
