Best Museum/Historic Site

1st Place: Chippewa Valley Museum
2nd Place: Children’s Museum of EC
3rd Place: Beaver Creek Reserve

If you’re interested to learn about the history of the area, then the Chippewa Valley Museum in Eau Claire’s Carson Park is the place to be. With exhibits (some new, some to debut soon) that cover centuries worth of regional history, as well as historic 19th-century buildings and a classic ice cream parlor, there is a lot to learn at the Chippewa Valley Museum. The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire (220 S. Barstow St.) is a great environment for kids to learn about the human body, the functions of everyday society, and much more. It’s a wonderful place, both for children and their parents. Also on our list is Beaver Creek Reserve (S1 County Highway K, Fall Creek), which features 400 acres of habitats to explore; trails to hike, ski or snowshoe; and buildings and activities focused on teaching people about the environment. –Mike Seitz
