Best Museum/Historic Site

1st Place: Chippewa Valley Museum
2nd Place: Eau Claire Children’s Museum
3rd Place: Paul Bunyan Logging Camp

If you’re lookin’ for somewhere that’s gonna tell the history of our fine city, the Chippewa Valley Museum is your ticket. It’s right next to the Paul Bunyan Logging Camp Museum in Carson Park, and it’ll tell you all about the Valley – from our history of logging to the beginning of Eau Claire as a city. In second is the Eau Claire Children’s Museum, which has tons of fun exhibits for kids of all ages to explore, with fun names like Body Smarts, Bitty City, and Kidstruction. The Children’s Museum recently added new exhibits, which might have pushed them up to second. In third is the Paul Bunyan Logging Camp Museum, which includes authentic buildings and equipment as well as a larger-than-life statue of Paul and his blue ox, a perfect photo-op for lifelong residents or weekend visitors. –Briana Bryant
