The Abbey Pub & Grub promises not to be your typical Menomonie bar.  The Abbey Pub & Grub has an old-fashioned pub-like atmosphere, complete with antique items adorning the walls.  Happy Hours are from 4 p.m to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday, and The Abbey features 16 beers on tap along with an assortment of specialty and seasonal brews.  The Abbey also offers free popcorn, indoor games, and an outdoor patio for use in summer.

Elbow Room

Come check out all the new renovations at the Elbow Room! They went from five taps to a ten tap system, and will be adding a new patio and outdoor beer garden this spring. Serves pizza, and is outfitted with a pool table (leagues available Tuesdays and Thursdays) and dart boards. Bean bag, softball, and pool leagues available, and they're always looking to start more. Packer paraphernalia abounds, as does elbow room. Happy hours run Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays 4-6 p.m. Free snacks are available. Pizza and other snacks available after 10pm, and they have too many specialty beers to list. Come in on your birthday to receive a free drink.

In winter, Elk Lake is popular because of its proximity to a snowmobile trail; in summer they're known for events like poker runs. Cheap drinks don't hurt their rep, either. Frozen pizzas are available all day and after 10 p.m. They have an outdoor patio, leagues for bean bags and pool. Also available are darts, touch-screen games, free popcorn, snacks on game days, two taps, and a party room that holds 30.

Named for its firefighting theme, the high-ceilinged Fire House is famous for its formidable beer selection and chill atmosphere. They have 38 taps and two casks, all with regularly rotating specialty beers, mostly microbrews and craft beers from Wisconsin. Happy hour is everyday from 4 to 7pm, and from 2 to 7pm on Fridays. They have darts, arcade and touch-screen games, and free popcorn to munch on.

Whether it's DJs and dancing, indoor bean bags, or a big televised game, The Flame Sports Bar tries to keep patrons on their toes. DJs spin Thurs-Sat and happy hour is from 4 to 8 PM, Monday through Friday. The sports bar also has darts (with leagues leagues) and free indoor bean bag toss Sunday through Tuesday. A popular spot for weddings, Foxhole is an operation under the Veterans Center of Menomonie that comes complete with an outdoor bar, mini-golf course, driving range, and large banquet hall that can hold 500 people. Their happy hour is weekdays 3 to 7pm. They have free popcorn, three taps, and big Packer tailgate parties. They also have games and leagues for shuffleboard, pool, and bean bags (indoor). Live music and karaoke also happen occasionally. Pizza and pizza fries are available open to close.

This college crowd hangout is known for their specialty drink – the Delusion – the contents of which are unknown to all but the bartenders. It's blue and fruity – that's all you really need to know. An Eau Claire original bar known for its mojitos and nightly bonfires, The Livery has a "vintage country meets modern urban" aesthetic. Aside from its unique atmosphere, the bar offers regular happy hour specials and a wide range of beers, including 12 taps. There's a large outdoor patio with a bonfire at dusk nightly (if the weather's nice), plus an exotic arcade room where "game" has a dual meaning: You can play pool (there's a league), darts, as well as arcade and touch-screen games or simply admire the wild game heads mounted on the walls.
