Echo Bravo
Eau Claire, WI - THE BIO:
By day they work for rock clubs, a magazine, a record store, and a bakery. By night they howl at the midwestern moon with a confident yet humble swagger of guitar and synth rock with its head (and heart) in the right place. After a summer of love and line-up changes, they played their first show in late November of 2004 to a 200+ enthusiastic crowd at the Stones Throw in Eau Claire. Drawing from a range of eclectic indie influences not usually cited by bands from Western Wisconsin, they produce a sound all their own among Chippewa Valley acts. All veterans of former Eau Claire bands with varying degrees of success, the members of Echo Bravo have earned their stripes in bands including Sled Napkin, Amateur Love, Dinner With Gregg, Vivian, and others.
THE SOUND:
Hip-shaking, torso-twisting dance-punk-pop. Aggressive and melodic synth work, throbbing fuzz-blown bass, pedal-charged guitars and dirty back-alley drumming coalesce to produce a danceable pop-rock party that’s perfect for rock fans young and less young.
FOR FANS OF:
The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Phantom Planet, The Cure, Bloc Party, Les Savy Fav, Interpol, Grandaddy, Enon, Hot Hot Heat, The Rapture, etc.
