Hear the Best of the Best at the Best of Show April 13 at the Metro

V1 Staff |

So, you’re looking through the results of our Best of the Chippewa Valley Reader Poll and you see all the businesses, restaurants, and everything else that readers voted the best. You page through the Arts & Entertainment section and see a whole bunch of cool local artists taking the cake in their respective genres, but maybe you’ve never heard of them. Maybe you’ve been waiting for your chance to see them live, but things are busy and it’s hard to keep up. Well here’s your opportunity. Volume One is teaming up with Sawdust City Limits – a concert series that showcases different spheres of local musical talent – to bring you the Best Of Show. It’s a one-night-only concert at The Metro, featuring winners and placers in all sorts of musical categories in the Best Of poll from Best Blues Band Sue Orfield to Best Hard Rock Band Drunk Drivers. The show features the whole musical gamut: electronic artist Sloslylove, bluegrass greats North of Dixie, blues band Mojo Lemon, hip hop artist TeaWhyB, and Best Rock Band That Isn’t Bon Iver (even though their name is somewhat of a Bon Iver reference) Nick Anderson & The Skinny Lovers. It truly is an awesome mix of talent from the depths of our expansive music scene, and it’s a great chance to catch the best of the best all in one night. It’s happening April 13 at The Metro, and you can get tickets right now at volumeonetickets.org
