An Artful Song

Gallery hosts Hope Greene’s Eau Clair de Lune

Lauren Fisher |

Local artist Hope Greene is bringing her fascination with the infinitely varied natural world to the Volume One Gallery March 8 with the opening of her latest show: “Eau Clair de Lune.” She uses modern and antique photography techniques and the written word to convey her meditation on the passage of time. Greene works with tintypes, cyanotypes, phytophoto, and other photographic processes as well as some digital techniques, and occasionally marries the two. Her prints are often unique because of the environment-dependent systems she uses to create them. The opening reception will take place 6:30-8:30pm on Friday, March 8. Light refreshments – snacks and drinks – will be available to guests, and Greene will be present to discuss her work. The show will run through April 27. More information about the artist is available online at hopegreene.com.
