Mudd Meets Midwest

Puddle of Mudd to perform at The Metro

Lauren Fisher |

Twenty-eight-year veterans of the grunge metal scene Puddle of Mudd will perform at The Metro in downtown Eau Claire on Dec. 30. The Missouri-born band has been jamming since the release of its first album, Stuck, in 1994, but didn’t take off until the debut of Come Clean in 2001. “Blurry,” rose to number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 list, while “Control,” “Drift & Die,” and other tracks received their share of awards. The audience is in for some head-banging, bass-throbbing rock as the band brings its authentic performance to The Metro. Local rockers Orenda Fugue will open the show, lending an Eau Claire spin to a national act. Tickets for the show are $25 in advance or $30 at the door, with a few VIP meet-and-greet tickets available for $100.  More information about the show, which is organized by 92.9 The X and Ardent Entertainment, is available at volumeonetickets.org
