The winter months can bring out laziness within us all. To combat widespread couch and movie mania, UW-Eau Claire has provided a cure. The university’s annual Cabaret show will run for two weekends, featuring a variety of singers and dancers for a fantastic musical experience. Cabaret features student organizations such as the Concert Choir, The Singing Statesmen, Women’s Concert Chorale, University Symphony Orchestra, and the jazz program.

Not only does this event support music and theater arts scholarships, but it also provides an opportunity for students to showcase their talent, practice their production techniques, and provide audiences with dinner and a show. Cabaret includes group and solo performances, all falling under this year’s theme, “American Legends.” Attendees can purchase tickets for the show only or the Saturday dinner buffet as well. Either way, all involved are guaranteed an entertaining night.

Performances will be in the Ojibwe Ballroom in UWEC’s Davies Center. A dinner buffet is provided before each Saturday evening performance in the Dulany Inn, also in the Davies Center, starting at 5:30pm. However, show-only ticketers won’t be forgotten: an a la carte deli and dessert buffet will be fully stocked an hour before the shows. A cash bar is also provided, opening before the show and at intermissions. To purchase tickets, pop into the Service Center found on campus or visit uwec.ticketforce.com.
