Climate Survey Ready for Residents' Hot Takes

V1 Staff |

The City of Eau Claire is looking for your help on improving the environment in our community – and our world. Residents are being invited to take an online survey about reducing greenhouse gas emissions – through increased use of sustainable energy sources and other means – as a way of limiting climate change and improving air quality. “We want to know the community’s voice on issues that reduce emissions such as clean energy, alternative forms of transportation, and waste reduction efforts,” a statement accompanying the survey said. The effort comes after the City Council’s vote in June to approve a resolution supporting the Paris Agreement, under which 194 nations pledged to take action to limit global temperature increases. To complete the survey, a process that will take about 10 minutes, go to tinyurl.com/sustainEC17. Those who take the survey will be entered into a random drawing to win Chamber Buy Local Bucks.
