concert brings the Valley together for cancer research

The inaugural Night For The Night cancer benefit on March 31 at the Metropolis Resort will feature live music performances from some of the Chippewa Valley’s finest to raise awareness for those impacted  by cancer and to benefit cancer research. Night for the Fight’s lineup is stacked with artists – local and national – who have all been affected by cancer, and the concert portion will be emceed by Cooper from 92.9 The X and Bobby Tripp from B95. Catch music by Jared Blake, Vaudeville, Devon Worley Band, My Memory Remains, 7’s Catacomb, Big Back Yard, The Cragars, picard, Rural Route 5, Stare Across, and Filthy Sweet. Attendees will vote for their favorite band performing that night, and the first-, second-, and third-place bands will each be awarded a cash prize. The most popular band will receive an opportunity to perform at  a  Country Fest, Rock Fest, or a related event. In addition to live music, Night for the Fight will also be holding a silent auction and feature personal stories from those affected by cancer. Children are welcome; for a fee of $30, kids will get some solid playtime plus food and drinks. On top of all the fundraising, Action City – the hotel’s arcade – will donate a portion of its total proceeds from the evening. Tickets can be purchased at wmetropolisresort.com for $12.50 per person. Music runs 6-9pm. All proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society and The Gilbert Brown Foundation.
