4 Haiku

Gary Busha

poking a spider on the dock
the boy imagines himself in a web
small, struggling

Some days are like this:
hurry run wait stand in line
swear and grit your teeth.

Some days are like this:
hear say think and do nothing
more than breathe and smile

The boy catches flies
throw them into corner webs
spiders thank their god
