UWEC Panel Will Explore University's Economic Impact

If you have any doubt that having a university campus is critical to our economy, then you should attend an upcoming panel discussion titled “Economic Development and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.” The event will be at 5pm on Thursday, Dec. 8, in the Dakota Ballroom South of Davies Center on the UWEC campus. The discussion will be led by Gerald Jacobson, president of Northwestern Bank in Chippewa Falls, and the panel will include Anna Cardarella, executive director of Western Dairyland Community Action Agency; Scott Hodek, labor market economist with the state Department of Workforce Development; Dr. Fredric Kolb, UWEC economics professor; Kerry Kincaid, president of the Eau Claire City Council; and Helué Vázquez-Valverde, a business economics major at UWEC.
