Calling all cool cats! Polish your dancing shoes because next Friday, Eau Claire Jazz, Inc. in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire presents the third annual Gatsby’s Gala. The event aims to take its guests back in time, to the Roaring ’20s to be exact, where jazz music ran through the veins and big bands put concert halls into a frenzy. Guests are encouraged to wear their best black-tie attire and favorite styles from the age. Live music is a staple of this annual event, and this year, UW-Eau Claire’s acclaimed Jazz I and Jazz II ensembles will play throughout the night, and special guest artists and modern music inspired by the ’20s will be featured. In addition to easy-going vibes, the Gatsby Gala will include desserts, hors d’oeuvres, and beverages true to a 1920s shindig. Tickets are available online at eauclairejazz.com or in person at the Davies Center service desk on campus. All ages are welcome. The Gala will kick off at 8pm on Friday, Nov. 11, in the Ojibwe Ballroom, located on third floor of Davies Center.
