The Nunnery's Stunning Vocal Loops Have Trippy New Visual Counterpart

Eric Christenson |

Eau Claire singer Sarah James, also known as The Nunnery, has released a new track with a dreamy corresponding visual called “Cowboy Blues Crown.” It’s an exciting project for James, who creates lush soundscapes by using only her voice and a loop pedal. The song starts with James’ subtle chant and builds and builds into a full fledged folk/pop anthem. The video, directed by Isaac Ruder, is a perfectly suitable counterpart to the song with calm nature scenes slowly becoming distorted and psychedelic and dripping away, while James’ vocals float alongside. You can buy “Cowboy Blues Crown” via The Nunnery’s Bandcamp page, thenunnerymusic.bandcamp.com, where you should keep an eye out for more beautiful tracks hopefully coming soon.
