“Nuthatch on the Duncan” by Tom Weniger

Tom Weniger is originally from Yankton, SD and he has lived in the Chippewa Valley for 30 years.

"The Marsh Rainbow Bridge is one of the most prominent landmarks in Chippewa Falls, Wis. Arching gracefully over beautiful Duncan Creek, it was built in 1916 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Just downstream from here, Duncan Creek merges with the mighty Chippewa River. While upstream, just around the bend, is the even more famous Leinenkugel Brewery. All of this is meaningless to the feisty Nuthatch poised on the ledge just below the lamp, as it lingers in hope of one last seed before dark. The original painting is part of the Sacred Heart Hospital Art Collection." – The Artist
