I know it’s getting cold, and winter winds are starting to bite extra hard, but just think… In a matter of months, we’ll be neck-deep in yet another gorgeous Chippewa Valley summer, where we can all indulge in the warm weather, long days, beers, and country music in the great outdoors – the ultimate Wisconsin pastime.

I’m, of course, talking about Country Jam, Eau Claire’s annual music festival where the biggest country stars in the world convene on the festival grounds just southwest of town, and bring swarms of eager country fans to join them for the weekend-long party.

The crew over at Country Jam has just released the lineup for this year’s fest on July 21-23, 2016 – and as always, it’s stacked with big name, award-winning musicians from across the country. Headliners this year include the likes of Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Thomas Rhett, and Cole Swindell.

Tickets are on sale now for the festival, with three levels. General Admission tickets are $100 per day or $150 for the whole weekend. If you’re looking to splurge, Platinum VIP tickets are already sold out, but you can still get three-day Silver and Gold VIP tickets (from $600-$650), which guarantee you endless food and drinks with a gourmet buffet and cocktails. Reserved tickets are also available (for $300-$350) which give you assigned seating behind the VIP seats.

If you’re looking to even further customize your Country Jam 2016 experience, you could buy a Skybox pass (which are sold separately for specific artists and let you chill on a platform to the side of the stage) or access to the Party Pit ($200 admission gives you access to a front-of-the-stage party during all the performances.

So if you start to get chilly and the winter gets you down, just fantasize about spending that summer weekend swathed in country music and huge party vibes.

The lineup so far: Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Jake Owen, The Band Perry, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, LoCash, Colt Ford, Clare Dunn, A Thousand Horses, Eli Young Band, The Cadillac Three, Jackson Michelson. To buy tickets and learn more, head over to www.countryjamwi.com.
