What’s that in the sky? It’s a bird … It’s a Blugold … nope! It’s the 2015 Chippewa Valley Air Show! The show takes flight at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport on July 4 and 5 with a first class (heyo!) line up of performers. Among the performers will be none other than the Blue Angels, with their stunning twists and flips. Making up a total 16 officers who volunteer to serve with the Angels, these pilots are some of the best. All pilots must have a minimum of 1,250 tactical jet hours and the commanding officer must have at least 3,000. These guys have spent a lot of time in the air. But don’t expect just your typical, every day, run-of-the-mail air show. The Wings of Blue is a group of exceptional skydivers, many of whom have become national and world skydiving champions. Also Neal Darnell’s ‘Flash Fire Jet Truck’ will be there too. Ever wondered what military fighter jet engine would look like in a Chevy pickup truck? That’s exactly what Darnell will be driving at this year’s show.
