Eau Claire Transit Considers Summer Downtown Bus Loop

V1 Staff |

Getting around in downtown Eau Claire might be easier than ever this summer: The Eau Claire Transit Commission is considering adding to its downtown service area in the coming months. Specifically, the commission is thinking about creating a “circulator route” that would offer service every 20 minutes on a path looping around downtown. Such a service might attract riders who wouldn’t normally wait around for the next city bus. If you want to offer your two cents in about the idea, or just want to hear more about it, the commission is holding a public hearing at 6pm Wednesday, May 20, in the council chamber at City Hall, 203 S. Farwell St. If you have questions to pose or comments to make before the meeting, contact the Eau Claire Transit office at (715) 839-5111 or tom.wagener@eauclairewi.gov.
