Oh, and speaking of JAMF Software (see item above), they also brought home some kudos from the annual Downtown Eau Claire Inc. awards banquet Feb. 25. The firm’s new downtown office building was selected as Development of the Year by the more than 550 people who voted in DECI’s survey. The Plus won the award for Renovation of the Year for changes that included a new outdoor patio. Meanwhile, Guppy’s Pizza on Water Street won Best New Business. The Local Store and Volume One (hey, that’s us!) won the Experience Award, a newly created honor, while the Local Store also won Best in Customer Service-Retail. (Aw shucks, thanks!) Other winners at DECI’s equivalent of Oscar night include Houligan’s Steak & Seafood Pub for Best in Customer Service–Restaurant; L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library for Best in Customer Service–Service Industry; Valleybrook Church for Downtown First; Sean Malone of Thomas Leigh Decorators for Outstanding Individual; West Grand Business Improvement District for Helping Hand; Citizens Community Federal for DECI Member of the Year; Randy Lee of Images by Lee Photography for Volunteer of the Year; and Northwestern Bank for the Above and Beyond Award.
