Party with the Prof

outrageous Minneapolis rapper to hit the House of Rock

If history teaches us anything about Prof, it’s that the Minneapolis party-rap all-star has a knack for selling out Eau Claire’s House of Rock with his unapologetic gusto. The recent Rhymesayers signee is back for his third Water Street bout on Jan. 29, accompanied by fellow Minnesota veteran St. Paul Slim, a charismatic member of Prof’s Stophouse crew. In addition to the music group cohorts, House of Rock and True Endeavors picked up Eau Claire’s own Sayth (Eric Wells) to round out the bill stylistically. Wells said he’s ready to turn heat on a familiar-faced crowd with an energy to match Prof and Slim. “If there’s one thing Prof does well, it’s party,” Wells said. “I’m predicting very rowdy things will happen at every stop on this tour.” And Eau Claire happens to be the first stop on the mustached maniac’s aptly named “It’s Time to Party” tour of the Midwest. “It’s dope because he’s a non-normative dude, with kind of crazy music,” Wells said. “It’s cool to have someone so weird with such a big name here in Eau Claire.”
