Shocking developments.

Health care providers and other local experts will teach kids entering the fourth and fifth grades about safety topics at a free Safety Camp sponsored by the Mayo Clinic Health System. Topics include first aid (more than just a Band-Aid), electricity (don’t touch live wires), cars (seat belts), bikes (helmets for starters), boating (life jackets), weather (thunderstorms and tornadoes), bullying (stop it!), and more. Highlights include a bike rodeo, skits, storytelling, and a surprise event that is under wraps. Register in advance at mayoclinichealthsystem.org (search for “Safety Camp”) to ensure a T-shirt and other materials.
