Dwarfcraft Adds to Its Stable of Pedals

Thom Fountain |

Dwarfcraft Devices has been serving up fuzz and noise to the world from right here in the Chippewa Valley for years, but a recent acquisition might branch them out even more. The Eau Claire-based guitar pedal company recently took over Devi Ever:FX from Portland-based effects wizard (appropriately named) Devi Ever. Ever stopped making pedals earlier this year after running a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign for a new “console” system, but failing to bring the prototypes to fruition. While Dwarfcraft will not be taking up the console right away, the local company – headed by Ben Hinz – will pick up Devi Ever’s line of more cost-effective fuzz pedals, which might broaden the market for the boutique pedal maker. The two companies had collaborated before and are both well-regarded in the guitar pedal scene and the acquisition has been taken favorably, so we can look forward to seeing where this takes our hometown noisemakers.
