What’s in a name? Well, a decent amount according to Baby With The Bathwater – a play by Christopher Durang. The local comedic theater troupe BareBones Ensemble will be staging this absurdist comedy Aug. 16-17 at The Grand Theatre on Grand Avenue in Eau Claire. In the play, two new parents are faced with the terrifying prospect of raising a child, whom they eventually name Daisy. The dark comedy follows the child and family through its lifetime in a playful style that stays on the lighter side despite struggling with many darker themes. Starting with the struggles of naming a child and rearing it as an infant, the show quickly jumps through time showing Daisy in grade school and even up to college. The show will be presented at 8pm Aug. 16-17. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and you can find more info at CVTG.org or by finding BareBones Ensemble Theatre on Facebook. The show is for mature audiences only.
