watercolor & ink, 2013Kajsa Piatt was born and raised in Madison and is a recent BFA graduate from UW-Eau Claire. She loves drawing, kids, good music, drinking coffee, eating avocados, and being weird with friends. Kajsa is constantly looking for artistic opportunities.
“My artwork is mostly spontaneous and intuitive, and generally abstract forms. This piece was made in an illustration course in my last semester at school and was one of my first somewhat recognizably representational pieces. I am comfortable creating pieces including pattern, line-work, and abstracted faces. For me, art-making is a form of purging excess emotion and a process of understanding myself better with each piece.” – The Artist
