Barebones Improv

Comedy is about to get a lot bigger in Eau Claire. While stand-ups and improv comedy have existed and even thrived independently in the Chippewa Valley, a sense of unity has never quite been attained. A collection of local comedians is trying to alter this reality with The First Annual Best Night Ever, a large, all-ages local comedy showcase featuring solo acts and ensembles performing improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy. Jordan Duroe, Cullen Ryan, Rio, and Christina Wolff will all be performing, along with members of the Memorial High School Improv Team, Glassworks Improv, Shambles Improv, and the BareBones Improv Lab. The event is primarily aimed at creating a collaborative environment for the area’s comedians as well as providing first-time comedians with a positive performance space. Perhaps the best part about the Best Night Ever is that all proceeds will be split evenly between Feed the Need and Community Table, two local organizations dedicated to fighting hunger and supporting the health and well-being of the Chippewa Valley. After the comedy is over, the event will continue with a pizza and dance party, with music provided by Feng Meng Vue, aka SloSlyLove.
