Well I think it’s safe to say this has been kind of a lame winter so far. While I enjoy NOT shoveling and slipping and scraping as much as the next guy, I’m of the general opinion that if we’re going to have winter we might as well have snow and the kinds of temperatures it takes to keep it around for a couple months. There’s a whole slew of outdoorsy goodness we could all be participating in right now if only there was a bit more white stuff around. We even had to cancel our first Winter After Hours since the Parks and Recreation Department wasn’t able to officially open the rinks yet as of January 5. If it’s not going to be green and warm it might as well be white and cold. It’s partly that stark contrast that makes Wisconsin an interesting place to live. So come on, sky. Fire up the snowmaker. We’re waiting.
