“This piece was painted for the “Festival of Flavors”. An event started in Eagle River during the summer of 2009. The painting was photographed and the image was reproduced on a canvas street banner. This banner along with banners by other local artists decorated the streets of the downtown area during the summer. All the banners had a Wisconsin food theme. A great community project." – The Artist

What we were thinking: Jane O’Brien (from Eagle River, Wisconsin) painted this watercolor piece dubbed "Food, Fun and Festivals" for the Festival of Flavors in the summer of 2009. With Labor Day weekend coming up, this piece depicts the bounty in which us hearty midwestern folks will be indulging. On the artistic side of things, the painterly style of watercolor invokes a playful and relaxing feeling that you get when gathering with friends and family members for a picnic.
