When we get to this time of year at the V1 office our heads sort of start to swim. Of course we're excited for the warmer weather like everyone else, but sadly we don't get to just sit back and wait for the perfect weather to fire up the grill out behind the office. No, for us warmer weather means work. As it starts heating up in May, so does our to-do list. All at the same time we pull together the Rock-n-Roll Kickball Classic plans, the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series plans (while keeping in mind the Cinema Series and Chalkfest plans hot on their heels), and assemble our big summer guide Hot Spots (which comes out with the next issue). And new this year we also pull together our "summer line" at the Local Store (which you can see in a catalog that starts on page 25). But as soon as those plans are laid and events are underway, then we mostly let loose and enjoy the modern Chippewa Valley summer with the rest of you. After we mow our lawns and weed the garden.
