At 7pm on April 19, the UWEC Environmental Adventure Center will showcase the film Green Fire, which chronicles the life of Aldo Leopold – one of the greatest conservationists and Wisconsinites of all time. The film, which highlights the enduring impact of Leopold’s passionate push for environmental sustainability, is the first full-length, high-definition production to focus on his life. Green Fire captures the vision of our fellow native and the environmental movement he ignited – a movement that remains prominent world-wide. The film offers evidence of the continuing influence of Leopold’s message and the undying effort to spread the awareness of our ecological responsibilities. Tickets for the show can be retrieved from the University Service Center and are $8 for the general public and UWEC staff and $5 for UWEC students with ID.
