Full of antioxidants and phytochemicals, wine can help raise good cholesterol and lower the risk of heart disease. But what’s even better than the health benefits? What about when the wine is very reasonably priced and locally produced? Matthew and Kayla Rick, both graduates of UW-Eau Claire, recently opened up their very own winery in Eau Claire’s Banbury Place.
Making wine started out as a hobby for Matthew and Kayla, and they enjoy making interesting combinations. Now that they’ve really learned the art and science of making great wine, they’ve opened up their own winery.

The Red Table Wine is a blend of Pinot Noir and Syrah grapes. Matthew Rick describes the wine as “slightly dry, yet fruit-forward with a hint of peppery spice.”

The mission of Infinity Beverages is to offer a unique variety of reasonable and tasty beverages spanning from wines to spirits and more. Currently Infinity Beverages has one wine out for purchase and one for pre-order under the brand name Round Corner. The Red Table Wine, which is currently available in local stores, is a blend of Pinot Noir and Syrah grapes. Matthew Rick describes the wine as “slightly dry, yet fruit-forward with a hint of peppery spice.” Matthew also shared with me that it is entirely rare to find a blend of these two flavors, which is extremely unfortunate because of how well they compliment each other and make a fantastic blend.

Now available for preorder is the Round Corner Sweet Apricot Fruit Wine, described as a delightfully refreshing sweet wine exhibiting mellow fruit-flavor, perfect for a hot day in the sun, that will be available in stores this summer. In the future, Infinity Beverages plans to offer another fruit wine as well as a white wine blend.

I find that the most unique and enjoyable feature about Infinity Beverages is their custom wine offering. Regardless of occasion, they are ready and able to make a custom wine in just a few short months. Not just the label on the bottle, but the wine itself. Obviously making wine takes time, so in terms of contacting Infinity Beverages: the sooner, the better. Imagine having a unique custom designed wine for any special occasion – graduation, wedding, unique gift, or even just to have around the house.

By continuously creating a distinctive array of tasty and value priced beverages, Kayla and Matthew aspire to make Infinity Beverages the alcoholic beverage company of choice for Wisconsin consumers and eventually the greater Midwest.
