Matt and Suzie Kendziera are local musicians who have been hosting a Christmas tour in the Chippewa Valley for the last eight years. The Kendzieras, who classify their music as a unique blend of acoustic folksy pop are hoping this year to do more than just play music. They are hoping to help families who are struggling financially while going through an alternative process to have children. So they are selling wreaths and merchandise at their local shows in order to donate the money to the cause. “100 percent of the proceeds from the wreaths as well as 50 percent of the proceeds from any CDs and other merchandise will go directly to the families,” Kendziera said. As for their message, Kendziera hopes they send a positive one. “The music will be fun and uplifting, but above any of that we hope to get across a spirit of generosity and hope,“ Kendziera continues. “Family is so important. What is Christmas without love and family?” They play Dec. 4 at 7pm at Down to Earth, Dec. 5 at 6pm at First Lutheran Church, and Dec. 10 at 7pm at Crossroads Church in Chippewa.
