I would bet most people, without knowing it, will gauge their interest/liking of an abstract piece of art based on the complexity and combination of shapes and the color combinations used therein. With Patricia Mayhew Hamm’s gallery exhibition at LE Phillips Library through November, that interest comes in spades. Her asymmetrical compositions and bold colored paintings are enrapturing, often exploring varying textures and media.
