Glimpse | Former Eau Clairian & Yo-Yo Jokester Lands a Role on The Office

FORMER EAU CLAIRE MAN MARK PROKSCH (IN THE HAT).

Remember last May when that guy – posing as an eco-loving yo-yo master – EASILY got onto morning TV news broadcasts around Wisconsin (and beyond), making a minor mockery of mid-market news mongers? Remember Kenny Strasser? That guy was a dead-pan-a-licious pile of hilarity. What you maybe didn’t know was that the guy’s real name is Mark Proksch, he lives in Milwaukee, is closely affiliated with the Found Footage guys, attended UWEC in the 90s, and helped with an Eau Claire humor newspaper The Daily Chimp. So, yeah, you’re not going to believe this, but the dude’s newest exploits include a bit part on NBC’s The Office. In the hugely massively successful show’s Oct. 14 episode, Dwight (played by Rainn Wilson) selects Nate (played by Mark) as the only non-immigrant from a group of workers. His first task as a handyman: removing a hornet’s nest. According to The Journal-Sentinel, Mark will appear in at least a few more episodes, so watch it up and tell all your friends you sort of kind of know this guy.
