Beer, here.

Here in Wisconsin, with more bars per capita than anywhere else in the nation and a baseball team carrying the title “Brewers,” it’s safe to say we know how to have a good time; and, man, do we love our beer. The Clearwater Beer Festival is properly embracing this state’s passion by hosting their 11th annual event on Sept. 11. With more than 100 craft beers being offered at the event, there will be something for every palate to try. You can look forward to the 20-plus brewers gathering from across the Midwest, including Furthermore, Great Dane Brewpub, Leinie’s, New Belgium, New Glarus, Sand Creek, Point, Summit, Tyranena, and Boston Beer Company (Sam Adams). The festival is an easy opportunity to broaden your “beer” horizon, and, in addition, this year is offering a homebrew competition for amateur beer makers to flaunt their stuff. For anyone planning on imbibing in excess, there is a shuttle bus system provided, and all DD’s are welcomed for free.
