Longtime Local Musicians Create Duo Project

William Kampf |

A pair of veteran local musicians has a new project which will debut at The Maple Manor on Aug. 13. Featuring Steve Rindt on guitar and Jack Schneider on bass, The Morris Garage Band is an acoustic project that features cover tunes by the Moody Blues, Neil Young, Jethro Tull, Jim Croce, and James Taylor as well as various hits from the 80s and 90s. Rindt and Schneider were professional musicians in their youth, and have rediscovered their passion for performing. Their love of classic rock, as well as the MG sports car, has been the inspiration for this new musical endeavor. Band manager Diane Rindt simply said, “They enjoy playing for the public.” Singer/songwriter/guitarist Stevie John Rindt (Rindt’s nephew), from the band The Last Open Road, will make an appearance at the 8pm show as a special guest.
