UWEC Art Students Become Art Blog BFFs

Matt Ledger |

Created in December by UWEC students Kaleb Durocher and Michelle Chrzanowski, We Are Friends is not your typical art collective. For one thing, it doesn’t even reside in the real world. We Are Friends is an art blog, a virtual place the pair created to keep the creative community they had assembled in college together once everyone had graduated and dispersed. Membership in the collective consists of the login info for posting to the blog and “is spread through word of mouth to friends we meet whose work we admire,” Chrzanowski says. “The hope is that it continues to grow naturally as kids start moving away and continue inviting people from wherever else. It’s something really special that started in little Eau Claire, but will continue to spread creative love across the US and the world.” To check out the blog for yourself head to www.wearefriends.us.
