Frozen Tundra chillin’ on thawed tundra.

If your significant other is complaining that the two of you never do anything nice anymore, then set aside February 27 as the time to prove you have more class than an education major (zing!). Eau Claire hip-hop perennial Frozen Tundra started The Black and White Affair three years ago with the idea that a show should be an experience – not just something in the background as you slam rail mixers. After two sold out years at Stones Throw, this year is looking to be bigger than ever with a larger venue, six acts, and 10 local businesses involved, including Z100 as an on-site co-host of the event. Area DJs Sinestro and DJ EF will get the party started by spinning wax when the doors open. The show takes off at 9:30pm with local act Blinded followed by the syrupy flow of Minneapolis group Kanswer. Frozen Tundra and Minneapolis powerhouse The Blend will close out the night. Dessert First will provide cupcakes, and the bar will offer black and white drink specials throughout the night as well as decked-out black and white decorations. Patrons can plan on their dress following the same color coordination, and are encouraged to dress up. So while you don’t have to wear a tie to the show, you’d be a whole lot cooler if you did.
