Contrary to certain promotional photography, Mary Mack is not a mime.

Mary Mack is coming to town! No, not the one from the rhyme, silly. The folk humorist. Mack, along with her mandolin, will be visiting Green Mill to promote her newly released CD. Recorded in Madison, Pinch Finger Girl: A Tragedomedy is Mack’s third comedy album. Mack is a northern Wisconsin native who gained notoriety after appearing in last summer’s Last Comic Standing semifinals on NBC, and on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham. Mack and her mandolin sing-alongs have been featured on Bob and Tom Radio Show, XM’s National Lampoon’s Comedy Network, and Minnesota’s Polka Spotlight. In 2005 Mack won California’s Funniest Female Contest, and later went on to appear in the Vancouver Comedy Fest, HBO’s Andy Kaufman Awards, and has even showcased her “Recipes from the Road” with our very own Judy Clark of TV-13. Mack attended school in Webster under a different name, and later started her comedy career in Nashville after a five-year stint as a polka band leader/music teacher. Since then, Mack has divided her time between Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Northern Wisconsin. Tickets for the show are $10, and plenty of the new CDs will be available for sale.
