WHAT: Co-managers of a lemonade stand
LIVES: Eau Claire’s East Hill
IN THE CITY FOR: “As long as I can remember.”

Eau Claire’s East Side Hill had a neighborhood-wide garage sale about a month ago, and V1’s Heather Mawhiney was struck by this pair of adorable young entrepreneurs. So as they stuffed their faces with popsicles, Heather asked the sugar-rushed young-uns a few pressing questions.

How does owning a lemonade stand factor into your future career objectives? What do you want to be when you’re all growed up?    A doctor because my mom wants me to.

What are you hoping to buy with your profits from today?    Molly: Apple bottom jeans and boots with fur!    Carson: Star Wars action figures, because they’re cool.

Is this Kool-Aid or fresh squeezed? Where’d you get the lemons?    It’s fresh squeezed, but I don’t know where they came from because we were at Sunday School when my parents made it.

Who is the coolest person you know?     A guy named Barry (his dad) because he said if I went to the dentist to get my tooth pulled he would get me two Star Wars action figures. I got Anakin and a storm trooper.

Do you think Wisconsin is the best state?    No.

Which one is?     Mexico! Or Florida.

If you could ask the president one question what would it be?    Carson: Can I have a million bucks? Or make Legos less expensive?    Molly: I want to be the one who kisses the president!

Do you think he’d like your lemonade?    No. Well, maybe. It was pretty good. He ate Mike’s Smokehouse when he was in town!  (His parents own Mike’s.)

What place in town considers you a “regular”?    Action City or Skate America. I had my birthday there once and they had games and candy! They gave out free hotdogs, too!

What frustrates you about the Chippewa Valley?    The price of Legos. I saw one for $800 once! And one for like a thousand bucks!

What is one of the best cultural experiences you’ve ever had in the Chippewa Valley?    Seeing the movie The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

What’s your favorite thing to get at a local restaurant?    (At Mike’s Smokehouse) The Buckaroo Basket. I want to work there.

What book, TV show, or movie would you recommend to the members of city council?    Captain Underpants!

If you could rename Eau Claire what would it be?    Alabama! Or the Death Star!

If you could learn one skill what would it be?    To fly! I asked Santa for a jet pack for Christmas. I got a dirt bike instead.

If a movie were made about your life, who would you want to star as you?     Anakin Skywalker!
