Carver

local hip-hopper ‘carves’ out new album

Tyler Griggs |

“I never told a lie, not one of my rhymes. This time I’m making sure that I’m living my life,” isn’t a bad lyric to describe the tenor of Carver’s second album, off the eponymous track Who Will I Be?.

The local hip-hopper’s album is a collection of songs about looking back at where he’s come from and standing proud at where he is. Champion is a chest-beater, Night Shift holds you close after being out at night rockin’ a microphone (featuring Romes, and really catchy), and Seven Shells lets you know why that seventh bullet casing fell from Carver’s six-shooter.
