Hospitals Adjust Flaws in Athletes' Movements

Nick Gourdoux |

Luther Midelfort started a program in mid-June designed to help athletes improve, and take their games to another level. Luther Midelfort’s Sports Enhancement Services combine programs that have shown to improve athletic performances in the past with technology and medical expertise. Using video analysis techniques, physical therapists closely examine the movements of athletes to better critique flaws that may be contributing to injury. The athlete is then prescribed a regimen of exercises to correct the flaws. Areas in which the program is targeting include strength and fitness training, football throwing and kicking, baseball and softball pitching, walking and running, and golfing. The services are available to serious and recreational athletes. Depending on the services, the costs can range from $100 to $300.
