The Chippewa Valley’s First iPhone App

The Chippewa Valley officially has its first-ever original iPhone App, a fun little feature called Slide-a-ma-jig. The kid-friendly App was created by Chuck Gamble, the Chippewa Falls artist behind Lucky Radish Studio and creative endeavors such as album covers, children’s books, Halloween cut-outs, and the amazing animated short Shadow Puppets. We downloaded Slide-a-ma-jig for a whopping 99 cents, and it’s tons ’o fun. You slide, shake, or tap the screen to swap out 20 character features (hat, head, torso, legs, and feet) and backgrounds. And there’s totally sweet old-school cartoon sound FX, too. “It’s a goofy little distraction with lots of fun drawings,” Chuck wrote in an e-mail. “Take a look and if you actually download it let me know what you think. I’d especially love to hear what kids have to say about it (good or bad) as that’s the main target.” Visit the iTunes store and search for Slide-a-ma-jig to purchase it. Of the seven ratings posted thus far, all of them have given the App a maximum five-star rating. “Finally a kid-friendly app that adults love, too,” one person commented. So check it out and e-mail Chuck (what@luckyradish.com) to let him know how awesome he is.
