Open Air Festival Needs Awesome Open Air Artists
by Tyler Griggs
The Open Air Festival of the Arts is now accepting applications for its 2009 celebration of art. This year it’s 9am to 5pm on June 13 at Eau Claire’s Phoenix Park. Accepted artists get a 10-foot by 10-foot booth to display their works. Oh, and make sure they’re weighted down; it got blustry last year. Media judges are looking to include ceramic, glass, wood, metal, jewelry, photography, painting, drawing, and others. For a $70 booth fee and $10 jury fee, this investment could offer your work the exposure it’s been needing. Artists should download the application at www.ecoafa.org and should be postmarked no later than April 1 to: OAFA P.O. Box 2171, Eau Claire, WI 54701. OAFA opportunities aren’t just for visual artists though; performing artists interested in playing at OAFA should contact email@example.com. Join the volunteer team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
