What do you get when you mix an economic hit man, the CEO of a successful alternative energy company, a teacher, a writer, an expert of indigenous cultures, the founder of a non-profit organization, and the witness or participant of some of the biggest events in modern history? John Perkins. Yep, just one man. Speaking at the UW- Eau Claire Forum Series, this all-encompassing, man-of-the-world will share his presentation, Geopolitics, the Future and You: A Call to Action. Perkins has written a number of books, including New York Times bestseller Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, and his most recent, The Secret History of the American Empire: Economic Hit Men, Jackals, and the Truth about Global Corruption. Perkins’ turning point arrived on Sept. 11, 2001, when he decided to expose his past as a hit man while encouraging a global renewal. He utilized his insider knowledge to enlighten the public through his teaching, writing, and presentations. A Call to Action will express Perkins’ personal changes, in addition to the difference he feels we can make as societies for a peaceful, stable world.
