New Family Cafe In Perfect Harmony

Trevor Kupfer |

With father and son hand-crafting the interior, mom in the kitchen concocting homemade recipes from scratch and son acting as manager, the new Harmony Corner Café in Eau Claire has truly stayed all in the family. Clayton Brice opened the relaxing eat- and drinkery in June, just a few months after his parents (Greg and Kathy) unveiled Old Elbow School Shop, a gift store connected to the Mall Drive café. As part of the business, Brice insisted that everything on the menu – from the traditional English scones, 30-plus soups, paninis, coffee, and tea – support fair trade, local growers, and organic ingredients (when possible). What resulted was a unique relationship between the farmers, growers, and customers, which spawned the café’s moniker: Harmony.
