Clear blue skies and sunshine are just one duo that mark the summer season. Another would be a cold beer and brats on the grill, and this summertime, you’ll have the Summer Shandy Beer Brats from Leinenkugel’s and Johnsonville to check it off your must-haves list!

The Wisconsin-based duo, national sausage brand Johnsonville and Chippewa Valley-rooted Leinenkugel’s, officially launched its beer brat collaboration on April 2. Available for purchase at select retailers in just 19 states – including Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and others – other fans will be able to buy ‘em online while supplies last.

The Summer Shandy Beer Brat is exactly what it sounds like – a Johnsonville fresh sausage infused with Leinenkugel’s iconic Summer Shandy beer. The brats will be sold in five-sausage packages at $6.99 each.

“Leinenkugel’s teaming up with Johnsonville for the ultimate beer and brat pairing was only a matter of time,” Tony Bugler, President of Leinenkugel’s, said in a media release.

“Some things just belong together, and beer and bratwurst are no exceptions,” Johnsonville Owner Shelly Stayer added.

The businesses are dubbing their seasonal bratwurst collaboration the “Lakeside Link-up,” encouraging folks to get outside, grill out, and enjoy Leinie’s this summer.
