themed coffee drinks, the official start of spring, and the Harlem Globetrotters

ST. PATRICK'S DAY AND MARCH-THEMED DRINKS ARE ARGUABLY SOME OF THE MOST FUN OF THE YEAR. The only thing that makes picking up a fun little drink, is a fun little themed drink. Thankfully, coffee shops ‘round these parts get that, and many have launched their March and St. Patrick’s Day-themed drinks! Pictured is the Little Leprechaun drink from The Goat Coffee House (336 Water St., Eau Claire), a mint and dark chocolate cappuccino. Holy yum.

THE OFFICIAL START OF SPRING IS COMING. In the Northern Hemisphere, at least. Yes, March 20 is the official start of spring, and also marks the start of the spring equinox (AKA, more sunshine in our future). It’s pretty common practice to have a “second winter,” “third winter,” etc. in our slice of Wisconsin, and it seems we got our second winter at the end of February, so who knows – maybe we’ll get lucky and it will actually feel like spring by March 20.

THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS. The Harlem Globetrotters 2023 World Tour is making a stop in Eau Claire at Zorn Arena on Friday, March 17, and in honor of March Madness and people running up and down a court with an orange ball, it just makes sense. The Globetrotters will face off against the Washington Generals, the game running 7-10pm, tickets starting around $20 with add-on options including meet-and-greet tickets and more.
